We have finally moved into Photoshop! I am excited but also still a little curious to the feel of it. As a previous user of GIMP, I'm familiar with some tools but I know lots of things can be tinkered hopefully. We also were introduced to In Design's ways and how to tweak things in there.
Getting the homework from last class and finishing it up today- I feel like I can't complain anymore about Illustrator. I have never used In Design at all and I have to say it is a bit too complicated for my taste. I don't understand that when you place an item into a "document" that you have both the image and then a linked border too. I'm not used to having to move this link in order to have it in place so that I can position the images in. It's very frustrating.
Granted, after doing about seven images in, I have found out how to do it so that both are clipped together. I have to make sure to hold down the command key...or was it shift? Oops. Either way, it's something new to learn and I want to keep what I have so far, even though it's hella messy. It's just so I can look back and see my mistakes- or more so this is my first time using Design and at least I've been able to accomplish recreating the piece itself.
